Shrimps Trust Travel Code of Conduct

To assist with the smooth running of coaches and the enjoyment of all travellers, it has become necessary to implement some rules for the benefit and safety of all travellers. Please help us keep the coaches running by adhering to some basic rules:

  1. Coaches will be stewarded by a Shrimps Trust representative who is responsible for the safety of passengers and the decision of the coach steward is final. Passengers must comply with any reasonable directives given by the Trust coach stewards. Those travelling on the coaches do so at their own risk.
  2. The organiser(s) on your coach will make themselves known to you at the start of the journey. In co-operation with the driver, they will decide when the coach stops, where it stops and what time the coach leaves the away venue. Anyone not at the coach by the time of departure may be left behind.
  3. No alcoholic drink is permitted on the coach. Anyone bringing alcohol onto the coach or appearing to be under the influence of alcohol may be ejected or refused travel.
  4. The coach steward has the authority to request to search any bags or belongings to ensure compliance with these terms and conditions. Refusal to be searched may result in your travel being refused.
  5. Smoking, including electronic cigarettes, will not be permitted on the coach. Anyone smoking may be ejected from the coach or refused travel.
  6. Supporters are expected to respect other passengers on the coach by not bringing on hot food, playing loud music, shouting or doing anything that is intended to cause a nuisance to others. We all go to away games to follow our team, and a little respect will make the journeys more pleasurable for all involved.
  7. Shrimps Trust and the coach provider recommend that no items are left on the coach. Shrimps Trust and the coach provider cannot be held liable for lost or stolen property. It is your responsibility to collect all your belongings at the end of your journey.
  8. The organiser(s) on your coach is responsible for the cleanliness of the coach when it arrives back in Morecambe. Please help these volunteers out by using the refuse sacks provided. Please take any open bottles of liquid with you, as these should not be disposed of on the coach.
  9. In the interest of safety, passengers must be seated while on route; unless using the toilet or obtaining something from their baggage. On arrival, passengers should remain seated until the coach has reached the drop off point at the away stadium.
  10. Juniors, aged under 18, will NOT be allowed to travel on the Away coaches without a responsible Adult.
  11. Shrimps Trust expect the highest standards of behaviour from all passengers. Unacceptable behaviour may result in the supporter being asked to leave the coach and not allowed to travel in the future.
  12. Coaches will depart promptly to and from an away game. We do not wait for late passengers and do not take responsibility for their welfare if they are late. All supporters are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to departure time.
  13. Passengers are expected not to use inciting behaviour towards the opposing fans which may result in the coach being the target of abuse and violence from the opposing supporters.
  14. Shrimps Trust reserves the right to refuse the sale of a travel ticket. Supporters guilty of behaviour that breaches this code of conduct may have a ban imposed upon them.
  15. Refunds on travel bookings are available up to 10 days prior to the date of travel. Cancellations during this time will not be accepted, however change of passenger name can be done free of charge (subject to surcharge if non-member). An administration charge of £1 per ticket will be levied on refunds to cover bank charges. Passengers may transfer their tickets to other passengers (subject to non-member surcharge) but MUST inform the Trust of any changes to the travelling party so that our travel list is accurate.
  16. In the case of a match postponement prior to the day of departure, payments made will be transferred to the revised date or refunded on request. If a game is cancelled on the day of departure, no refunds will be made.

Supporters need to be aware that organised football coaches have strict guidelines, especially regarding alcohol consumption. Breaking these guidelines invalidates our insurance and will lead to the Coach Company not accepting future bookings. It is an offence to bring or drink alcohol on coaches organised by the Shrimps Trust.

By travelling with Trust Travel you hereby accept these rules and agree to abide by them.
